Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of enology.ai, its producer portal at portal.enology.ai, and the consumer application at quaffio.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, claiming a producer record, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Parties
The Service is operated by enology.ai, a product of Wine Platform ("we," "us," "our"). Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@enology.ai.
2. The Service
The Service comprises three connected parts:
- The producer portal (portal.enology.ai), where wine producers create accounts, claim or create their producer record, and edit and attest to their own business and product data.
- Public canonical pages (enology.ai/producers/*, enology.ai/w/*), which publish wine and producer data — some derived from public government records (TTB COLA filings), some contributed and attested to directly by producers.
- Data services, including the Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint and API, which make canonical wine and producer data available to other applications and AI agents, subject to the access tier of the requesting party.
We may add, change, or remove features of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to give notice of material changes that affect existing accounts.
3. Accounts
To use the producer portal you must create an account with accurate, current contact information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Only one producer account may represent a given producer business entity. If you believe an account improperly represents your business, contact support@enology.ai.
4. Claim verification
Claiming a producer record is a verified action, not a self-certifying declaration. When you submit a claim, we determine whether you have the authority to represent the producer in question — through automated checks (such as matching your account's business email domain to the producer's known domain) and, where automated checks are insufficient, manual review.
We reserve the right to reject a claim before approval, or to revoke an approved claim and remove the associated canonical link, at any time we determine — in our reasonable judgment — that the claim was made, or is being used, by someone without authority to represent the producer. Revocation removes the account's public linkage and its data from public surfaces; it does not retroactively alter the historical record.
Producer attestations recorded through the portal are written to an append-only transparency log. Once recorded, an attestation event is permanent — it is not deleted when a claim is revoked or when data is later corrected. Corrections and revocations are themselves recorded as new events in the same log, so the log always reflects the current state alongside its full history. This permanence is a deliberate design property of the Service, described further in the Entity Identifier (EID) contract at enology.ai/identifier.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent data about a producer, wine, or business — including through a claim you are not authorized to make.
- Attempt to claim, edit, or attest to a producer record on behalf of a business you do not represent.
- Interfere with, scrape beyond documented API/MCP limits, or attempt to circumvent access controls on the Service.
Producer-attested data submitted through the portal is cryptographically signed and publicly attributed to the submitting account at the time of submission. Because attestations are attributable and permanent as described in Section 4, submitting false data carries reputational and evidentiary consequences beyond ordinary content moderation.
6. Content and data roles
Producer-submitted data. By submitting or editing data through the producer portal, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that data through the Service — including public canonical pages, the API, and the MCP endpoint — attributed to your producer account and marked with its provenance and confidence level.
Public-record data. Canonical wine and producer data derived from TTB Certificate of Label Approval (COLA) filings and other government records is public record. We publish and distribute it as such, independent of any producer claim or attestation. A producer's attested data does not replace public-record data; it is layered alongside it with its own provenance marking, and where the two differ, both are shown with their respective sources.
7. Disclaimers
The Service, including all data made available through it, is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Wine and producer data — including data derived from government filings and data attested to by producers — may contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date information. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, producers, or the integrity of the Service. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting support@enology.ai. Public canonical data and transparency-log entries described in Section 4 persist per Section 6 and our Privacy Policy even after account deletion, to the extent they reflect public record or previously-recorded attestation events.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes by email to the address on file for your account and by updating the version date at the top of this document. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This is a placeholder pending formal counsel review and may be refined to specify a particular state or jurisdiction in a future version.
